After School Fun In The Sun

Help me give my students supplies and equipment to have some fun with their peers!

My Project

This project is designed to focus on the social emotional well-being of our students in our after school program. Our school is a Title I school with a high population of EL learners. The students that attend our after school program, are children of working parents or parents who are in school. Students come to us to get homework support, have a snack, and also socialize with their peers from kindergarten to 5th grade. We see a variety of students, and we have seen how last year, our A+ students were unable to do homework together, play with a different grade level, and even share the same toys and supplies due to COVID.

Because of the pandemic, our students were unable to socialize with one another and they now have a harder time making friends due to the lack of peer interaction they had.

With this project, we hope to increase engagement between each other, while also build sportsmanship where our students can synergize with one another as they interact using these supplies.

We separate our students by 3 groups:

1) kinder and first

2) second and third

3) fourth and fifth

There are multiple supplies and games that were requested, so that we could be sure to meet the needs of all students. Please help us help our students!
