My Students
I am a second year 4th grade teacher at an amazing school in Georgia. I have dreamed of becoming a teacher since I was a little girl and finally have the opportunity to have my own classroom. Each day, I teach sixty children English and social studies. We get to explore the mysteries of books and many characters, United States history and so much more.
As a teacher at a Title I school, my students and I consistently struggle to find even the most basic school supplies.
Over 75% of the student body receives free or reduced-price lunch. However, my classroom will be an environment where my students do not have to worry about their socioeconomic status or lack of personal school supplies. Each project on my page is designed to meet a range of my students' needs from class sets of books to clothing and incentives. It is support from donors like you that will help make my dream a reality and change the lives of my students.
My Project
I teach some of the most amazing students imaginable. They try so hard to make every day fun and to learn everything that I can give them. I want to make sure that we start our school year off strong and I have all the supplies that they may need to succeed this coming school year.
About 70% of my students are not able to come to school with the supplies they need every day and I want to make sure that this does not hinder them in any way.
Help me provide students with pencils, glue sticks, scissors, and composition books. With the ending of the school year causing some distress for a lot of my families I want to take some of that burden off of them and make sure that after this pandemic my students still have what they need for the school year. Help me make my dreams for my students to succeed after this pandemic a reality.
