Help me give my students books that are focused on African Americans in sports.

My Students

My students are hardworking and dedicated to their learning even in these current challenging times. They come from all different backgrounds and walks of life.

My students have a strong desire to learn and grow to become good citizens of the world.

My Project

These books will help expose my students to African American leaders through change in sports culture. We will begin a unit titled, "Athletes and social change" in the upcoming months and I chose books that will help broaden my students knowledge of the topic.

Several books are also written with strong African American characters.

I want all students in my classroom to have characters that they can relate to and these books will provide additional fiction and nonfiction characters for students to connect and relate to. Expanding my classroom library will help make this a reality!
