My Students
All of our students want to enhance their artistic and academic abilities. The students are involved in one of the following arts conservatories: visual arts, singing, dancing, acting, writing, or instrumental. The students have one of the longest school days for high school students in the country as it runs from 8 am to 5 pm, not including any extra rehearsals or private lessons they may have.
Each project I bring to Donors Choose will allow me to use new tools to enhance the quality of the student's Health Education, and to help our students become more wellness-minded individuals.
My Project
The AED trainers will be a fantastic way to enhance my current curriculum aimed at CPR / BLS / AED training.
Currently, without a physical AED trainer in the classroom, we watch a video about how to use an AED.
The video, which we will still use, gives great information about the importance of using an AED if one is available. This however lacks the real life training I would love to offer the students, as this could literally be a matter of life or death for a friend or loved one.
