I teach a group of enthusiastic first graders, where many of my students come from low-income backgrounds. In our classroom, we create a positive and engaging learning environment where every student feels safe and encouraged to participate.
One of the most important aspects of our classroom is creating a space where students can gather together for story time, group activities, and interactive lessons.
Currently, we don't have a rug, and I believe having a comfortable and inviting rug would make all the difference! A rug would provide a cozy space for my students to sit, learn, and connect with each other during class discussions and group work.
With your help, this rug will allow my first graders to have a dedicated area for collaboration, reading, and hands-on learning. It will help foster a sense of community, encourage students to stay engaged, and make our classroom feel even more welcoming. Your support would mean so much to our class!
