Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These materials will help me serve preschool through high school students with hearing impairments in a variety of educational settings. As an itinerant Teacher of the Deaf, I see students with varying degrees of hearing loss in MANY different schools throughout the greater Phoenix area.
Although each of my students have their individual challenges, they all have been impacted by hearing issues which are often invisible to others.
Hearing loss, even a mild loss, can have far reaching effects on a student’s educational performance. My goal is to discover the strengths and interests of each of my students and use that knowledge to help build on their skills.
I loved what I do! My students are some of the most incredible young people I’ve ever met. They inspire me every single day to help them strive to attain their highest educational potential and to find happiness and joy along the way.
