Help me give my students the best year yet! Being a second-year teacher, I am limited on supplies and resources for my students. I want to give my students the most welcoming & functioning classroom possible!
As a second year teacher, I find it hard comparing my classrooms to teachers who have been teaching for years. There is something magical about a classroom that has all of the things that allow students to grow academically and emotionally. After the pandemic, that magic seemed less obvious at first glance. There were masks covering smiles and distance that reduced the number of hugs. In my last classroom, we relied on little things like smelly markers and fictional books to keep our spirits high. This year I want to create a joyful classroom that my students and I are excited to learn in everyday.
Some items on this list are less expensive, but that does not diminish their power.
The theme for my classroom this year is "A Camping Adventure". This theme encompasses teamwork, independence, speaking up, exploring, fearlessness and more. That is how I want my students to feel about 3rd grade, eager to take on a new adventure! With donations it allows our classroom to be functional to allow all brains to grow!
