My students are lively, busy, creative, and love to come to school. Even though they are from an area in Michigan that does not offer many opportunities, they love to come to school. Many receive free or reduced-price lunches. Day to day life is challenging for them. Come sunshine, rain, sleet, or snow, they show up and my classroom is full.
My students are six and seven years old.
They love to absorb knowledge, whether it's from a chalkboard or technology. They thrive on learning when they are engaged and have numerous opportunities in school that they do not have at home. Unfortunately, social distancing has put sharing on hold.
My Project
Due to Covid 19, sharing items have become obsolete. By giving each student some books to read of their own, we will keep germs from spreading. Each student will choose two books to keep and enjoy a juice, book and pretzels on Class Reading Adventure Day.

Students grab a book to unlock adventures through reading. All books are on a level in which students can read all the words. What better way to read a book than with a healthy snack of juice and pretzels. Thank you for helping us achieve this goal.
