Help me give my students the adventure of playing a new instrument. Many missed out last year due to Covid and I'd like to make it up to them!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to music to explore and have new adventures. They are all willing to try new things, even if they are nervous at first. I work in the Palm Springs District, with a large percent of low income students. I try to make sure that all these fantastic adventurers have what they need to succeed.
My Project
One of the main joys in music class is being able to play instruments. Due to distance learning the ability to play instruments from class is gone. I teach in the Palm Springs District with a very high number of low income students. Therefore, it is hard to expect parents to provide materials. I would love to provide the access to recorders at home for my older students. These instruments help my students to further their skills in reading music, thinking critically (how loud or soft, long or short do they play) and develop confidence in a new skill that maybe was hard for them at first.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
