My students need 30 lab aprons so that they will be protected when we perform chemistry labs.

My Students
My students love to get out of the classroom and into the chem lab. Some of our lab equipment is over 20 years old and needs to be replaced.
My students are inquisitive 11th graders.
Even though they are surrounded by their electronic devices they are still able to be wowed by a well planned chemistry lab. They attend a public school in South Jersey that takes pride in striving to challenge all students.
My Project
I love being able to provide fun labs for my students. During the course of our school year we detonate whoosh bottles, sacrifice gummy bears, and even make ice cream. Even kids that are not wild about science have a great time in our chem class. My concern is that they are able to have all of this fun while keeping safe.
We spend a lot of time on safety procedures, but are sometimes limited by our lack of equipment. We are in desperate need to replace our lab aprons because they are old and stained. New aprons will permit us to perform exciting labs with acids and other corrosive materials that can damage clothing.
I need your help in order to ensure that my students can work safely in the lab.
Our school is old and we need to work hard to keep things fresh. Our state and federal funds have been significantly pared back so we have to make difficult choices with our limited resources. Your generosity will enable us ensure that our kids have great programs while also making sure that we are able to keep them safe.
