My Project

As teachers, we hope that students will come into our classroom excited to dive into a new book. But let's be honest, that's typically not the case. Most teenagers come into the room and instantly talk about their disdain for reading. With this project, we want to combat this disdain by refreshing our classroom library-we want to add more books, genres, and series to the shelves!

I want students to find books that transport them into other worlds.

Books that will show them that reading isn't boring and that, in fact, it can be fun! I want them to see the adventures and other worlds are at their finger tips. Books like The House in the Cerulean Sea, An Ember in the Ashes, The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store, and the Inheritance Games, Selection, and Maze Runner series will help them to see (and hopefully read) this!

The different stickers will help us keep our shelves organized. The different colored dots will define genres while the stars will help us in making a series identifiable!
