Adventure in Literature

My students need a set of "The Hunger Games" books that will last them the entirety of the novel study, as well as remaining in decent condition for future students.

My Students

Bright and funny, my students make everyday both a challenge and an adventure. When students enter the classroom, they always provide a similar answer when I ask them what they think about reading: "Its okay, but its boring. I can never find books that I like or that are interesting enough to keep me reading."

Our curriculum is jam packed with articles, stories, and books to keep my students loving reading.

Something special about this is our novel study on The Hunger Games, which is what you'll read about in our project section.

My Project

So often my students are bored by the antiquated stories we are provided with in our 10+ year old text books. These books will allow them to read a relevant, and high interest story that they will enjoy while learning about the elements of writing.

These novels will provide my students with a relevant basis for how authors use elements of fact and fantasy to draw a reader in and make comments about society.

These materials will be used for years to come in my classroom, as well as providing the potential for other teachers within our school to use them to teach story structure, the fantasy genre, and literature elements.
