Help me give my students the comfort and confidence necessary to excel during reading centers/intervention while sitting on the floor.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. ADAMS's classroom raised $893
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Reading centers with young children tend to be a challenge for both students and teachers. Students consider it a positive reward to be allowed to sit on the floor.
Research regarding adaptive seating options indicates young students are able to focus on the instruction rather than be distracted by the challenges of sitting directly on the floor.
Young children tend to encroach on each other's personal space, which diverts their attention from instruction time.
The requested seat storage pockets will be advantageous for them to be responsible with keeping their belongings together, orderly and neatly.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
