I am a 7th-grade math teacher in a Title I New York City public school. I enjoy finding creative ways to teach math so that my students become more engaged and eager to learn. My approach includes fun math with computers. Unfortunately, my school does not have enough laptops so my class uses them infrequently. My students are amazing and always get excited when we are able to use the Chromebooks during a math lesson.
I would love to be able to increase the amount of chrome books we have in our classroom.
With these two Chromebooks, it will allow my students the opportunity to work in pairs and have easy access to the many wonderful ways to learn math with technology.
My Project
With technology advancing each day, I want to keep my students current.
I want to prepare my students for 21st-century learning.
With your donation, I will be able to teach my students through the internet. They will be able to access Google Classroom, complete assignments, do research and create their own solutions and connections to mathematical topics and the real world.
With your donation, I will be able to prepare my students and set them on the right path for high school and college. With Chromebooks, students have the opportunity to learn in different ways through videos, apps, podcasts, video conferences, etc. I hope you will consider a donation that will allow my students to continue to progress their learning in the 21st century.
