Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Failure is not an option." These children are going to be the first in their families to attend a four-year university. They are changing the cycle for the rest of their siblings and setting the bar to a whole new level.
we are a low socio-economic, title I school located in a rural, agriculturally-based community.
They are of various ethnic backgrounds, they are individually determined to be successful, but aren't the cream of the crop academically. They are going to be the youth that changes America for the better.
My Project
These dry erase boards will provide my kids with the opportunity to improve their critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills. They will be able to walk a peer through an obstacle they are facing, not by giving them the answer, but by providing them with higher level critical thinking questions that will stimulate independent thinking and allow a learner to discover ways to find the answer themselves. They will become more independent, higher level critical thinkers who will learn innovative ways to solve problems and work well with others.
They are independent, motivated individuals who desire to be the change America needs.
They want to be the most they can imagine because their family has never had that. These dry erase boards will give them opportunities to increase their ability to be successful beyond their belief.
