My Students
Do you remember how much fun science was in elementary school? Our students need inquiry based science activities to promote critical thinking and independence in a classroom lab setting.
My students are an awesome group of advanced learners in a gifted and talented program who excel in everything they do.
They have a passion for learning and with recent budget cuts, these supplies will help my students engage in developmentally appropriate activities. In addition, these supplies will last all year and be a big asset in helping my students achieve academic excellence.
My Project
I need science supplies to enhance my students' critical thinking skills and allow them ample opportunities to learn vital aspects of the curriculum. We also need storage facilities as we are in a portable and have to place all supplies in boxes, as there are no closets or other storage spaces. Finally, these supplies will allow my students ample opportunities to participate in engaging critical thinking activities.
This project is so important because science skills are crucial to expanding my students' knowledge and thinking.
In addition, recent budget cuts have negatively impacted my goal to increase global awareness of science topics that are closely aligned with the new rigorous curriculum recently adopted. Finally, these supplies will allow my students to participate in inquiry based experiments that will help them learn the curriculum and prepare them for the future.
