This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me introduce my students to advanced geology concepts. The students will construct buildings using the clay, glue gun and popsicle sticks. After they investigate how much the buildings cost them to build, they will see which models last longest on the shake table. The students will also go on a field trip and collect rocks. Then, they will identify the rocks and use the tumbling kit to explore rock tumbling.

These projects are designed to increases the engagements of the students.

When the students are interested and engaged they learn more and are more invested in the work that they do.
