This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Adult Transition Program provides services to students within the district between the ages of 18 and 22 who qualify for special education services. The focus of our program is to provide students with opportunities for work experience to build needed soft skills.
The items in this project will allow our students to start on their entrepreneurial journey!
Students will be able to apply foundational skills learned through their job shadowing experiences to start a cleaning business. Students will use profits to replace items as needed as well as to put towards enrichment activities.
This start up project will help out students expand their vocational opportunities and greatly enhance our program!
