Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students in the Adult Transition Program are 18-22 years, all receiving special education services. A focus of the program is on life skills and vocational skills. Gardening supplies will allow us to plant and harvest our own produce.
Our program will use our garden to practice valuable work skills such as work ethic, focus, and following directives.
We will also be able to utilize the garden to support lessons of health, wellness, and eating a balanced diet.
Our program is housed at a small site, the storage shed will allow us to keep our materials organized, safe and neat. This way we will not have to store items within our classroom.
