My Project
I currently serve an autism population. It is imperative that these students transition from high school with a variety of skills that will facilitate them being independent. Therefore, the requested items in this project will tremendously contribute to the development and exposure of these ADL skills practiced in the classroom each day. By using the mini washer, students will learn how to sort clothes and wash them appropriately. Students will also learn how to brush their teeth thoroughly and independently as well with the use of the toothbrushes.Additionally, clothesline will assist my students in acquiring essential skills for completing laundry tasks, while the pegboard will assist them in stocking items.Lastly, the sink will be very beneficial for my students as they can utilize this equipment during several activities that involves water such as brushing teeth, cooking and hand washing.
