This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Senior Send-Off (Decision Day) is a fun time for the ADHS graduating class to celebrate! Our aim is to push students by offering them opportunities to win items (dorm room essentials, toiletries, technology, etc.) they will need in their post-secondary decision for college, career, or the military. The event showcases those seniors with a plan and a decision for the next steps of their lives. Celebrating in Senior Send-Off also means participating seniors have completed all graduation requirements and senior tasks by a designated date. All seniors have the opportunity to be a part of this celebration so we would like support to send the students off with prizes that will help them be successful.

The items within this grant will allow the college-career-military (CCMR) counselor to incentivize students to take care of their business sooner, rather than later, which will be a lesson learned and a good way to pattern their lives adulting.
