This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach over 700 students ranging from Kindergarten to Fifth grade at two Title I schools. My students live in a rural part of South Carolina and come from a variety of diverse backgrounds. This project would support the students at my schools.

My students are creative, smart, and eager to have hands-on learning activities that will prepare them to become 21st-century learners.

I want all of my students to have the opportunity to create artwork with all the materials they need and provide them with a fun, engaging, and hands-on learning environment.

My Project

The goal of this project is to bring masking tape and glue sticks to my students. The masking tape will be used to complete paper mache projects with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students this school year and next. The glue sticks will be used to make a number of group collage projects by all Kindergarten through 5th grade students. We create a lot of collaborative work throughout the year, and our adhesives go fast!

Adhesives are important to have in every art classroom.

I want my students to have the materials they need to successfully explore and create in art!
