Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an awesome group of middle school students. My students have the challenge of having special needs but are also mostly low-income students on free or reduced-price lunch. They love to explore, investigate, and enhance their own growing knowledge. They are in need of some basic supplies like glue to help learn science concepts.
Students will be able to embrace the integration of STEM and art through crafting science concepts.
Students will be able to make items that display or incorporate science concepts and in turn learn essential standards. The hot glue guns, glue sticks, and mod podge will be used throughout the school year for different science projects like making signs or building models. The items we make will be hung/displayed around the school to get students interested in STEM. All materials requested will support endless STEM/Art creative projects to come!
