Adding Technology in Math

My students need an addition iPad and cases to go with the other iPads from my last project.

My Students

A typical day in my fourth grade classroom involves making lessons relevant to my students while introducing them to math concepts. We do many lessons using manipulative and hands on activities. We want activities that are interactive!

My students are fourth graders that need to find more relevance in what they do.

They are excited when they get a chance to work on the computer or my one iPad. Our school is trying to increase their technology and provide more I pads and computers so the students can get their hands on this necessary technology.

My Project

The pads will be used in many ways and on a daily basis. The students will use them in math centers to provide practice on skills in fun game like activities. They will use them to do research on the web. The pads will also be used to do formative assessment with programs available through apps. The case will be used so that the children don't break the new I pad.

I truly feel that if centers can be incorporated in math, the students will be more engaged!

The use of technology everyday use increases the relevance of learning. It will be a focus through increased technology to drive student toward college and career readiness.
