This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 25 intelligent and energetic students in my kindergarten classroom. Almost every child comes from a low income household and our school is the place where they gain the opportunities they might not get elsewhere. Being a Title I school, a high percentage of my students receive free and reduced lunch each day. Some of my students also come from a family that speaks another language other than English. Each child is unique and important to our classroom learning environment.

My Project

In kindergarten, we build background knowledge to every lesson and pictures help to enrich the discussions that we have in our room. Currently, there is only one color printer at our school and it is not easy to access.

If we had a color printer in our room, we would have more ease in creating stations, worksheets, and picture examples for the children.

The color printer would add the extra spark and detail that is currently missing with just our black and white copies.

The color printer would be a wonderful addition to my classroom and impact not only my students, but the other kindergarten classrooms as well.
