Adding Resources to the STEM Classroom

My Project

This is the first year that we have provided STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) to students at our elementary school. STEM has been embraced wholeheartedly by the students in my school. They cannot wait for the days when they get to go to STEM class, and on the days they do have STEM, they come to class excited and ready to be challenged. But like most STEM teachers, materials are always in short supply.

This grant would provide a class set of OSMO bases and the accompanying accessories to be used with all grade levels.

OSMO will be used on a regular basis in my STEM classroom as a part of weekly STEM rotations. The OMSO kits will allow me to leverage technology to reinforce early literacy skills in my younger learners and practice basic math skills with my older learners. In addition, OSMO has various programs which will help students practice and strengthen the following skills: storytelling, basic computer coding, drawing, and listening. OSMO has many applications which make it a unique learning tool for the classroom.
