This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Puzzles are not just fun and games; they're powerful educational tools that promote cognitive development, problem-solving skills, and spatial awareness—all crucial skills for our students with Autism as they embark on their learning journey. With puzzles, children engage in hands-on exploration, develop fine motor skills, and learn to persist through challenges, fostering a growth mindset that will benefit them in all areas of their academic and personal lives.

With your help, I aim to create a diverse puzzle collection that caters to the varied interests and developmental levels of each student in my self-contained Autism classroom.

As we all know, the world of special education is VERY individualized. I plan to not only do this with their academics with reading, writing, and math, but also with their hands-on learning... including multi-sensory learning, dramatic/imaginative play, and PUZZLES! Each puzzle will offer unique learning opportunities and hours of enjoyment for my young learners.

Your generous contribution will directly impact the educational experience of our Kindergarten and 1st grade students in our self-contained Autism classroom, providing them with access to high-quality puzzles that will enhance their cognitive skills, foster creativity, and ignite a lifelong love for learning. Together, we can create an environment where every child feels inspired, supported, and empowered to explore the world through play and discovery.
