Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom is full of active learners striving to succeed as readers and mathematicians. We are trying to become a Blended Learning classroom and hope to have enough tablets for half the class. These tablets will be used to complete personalized learning programs and assignments.

My students come from a low income area and many do not have access to technology at home.

Our school serves grades pre-k thru 5th grade, and we are trying to incorporate Blended Learning practices throughout the school. The earlier our students learn to interact with and use technology - the more prepared they will be in later years.

My Project

My students will use these tablets, headphones, and cases for programs such as SmartyAnts, Splash Math, and RAZ Kids. They will learn and practice vital skills in reading as well as math. After initial guidance, they will be able to access and navigate through these programs individually and at their own pace.

The devices we already have are making a huge difference in the learning that takes place in our classroom.

With a few more devices, we will be able to make these resources available to a greater number of students.
