My Students

My students strive daily to build connections and community through love, excellence, respect & accountability. Even this early in the school year, they are advocates for themselves and others. They are inquisitive and seek to understand and challenge the way our world is today.

As eighth-graders, all of my students are embarking on a challenging and fulfilling journey of earning high school credit for English 1 and 14 of them are also working to earn Algebra 1 credit this year as well.

They have completely embraced the challenge and I am watching them develop every day!

My Project

The flexible seating purchases will give my students some other options to choose the area in the classroom where they can best learn. By having additional options, students can pick what works best for them which helps them to be more engaged in their learning.

As an English teacher, we can never have enough books.

Help build a love of literacy by adding to our classroom library. These books will serve as mirrors, windows, and sliding doors for students to better understand themselves and others, helping them to develop a deeper sense of empathy and connection to people and the world.
