Adding Color to the Classroom

My Students

I am a 3rd grade teacher in a small town country school in Oklahoma. I teach math to 40 students every morning and then science and social studies to my homeroom class in the afternoons.

My students are always full of life when they walk in my classroom.

This makes teaching them so much fun! They are always eager to learn new things and always up for a challenge. All of my students are very kind hearted and wanting to please.

My Project

I am wanting a colored printer for my classroom. It will benefit both my students and myself throughout the school year. There are many things like task cards and games I find on teacher websites that I would like to print out in color and laminate to make them last longer. I also have folders out in the hallway that I hang class or individual pictures on through out the year when we do something fun. Right now I am having to send it to one of my teammates to print off or send it to admin then go pick it up. It would just be a lot more convenient/faster if I could do it here in my classroom.

I feel like letting my students see in color rather than black and white all the time helps them focus and keeps them interested.

I like to print task cards, board games and other worksheets off in color so it's not boring. Printing things off in color just makes it more fun for not only me but for my students too!
