My students need a library of 17 non-fiction reading books, including "Pyongyang: A Journey in North Korea" and "The Deep: The Extraordinary Creatures of the Abyss".
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Will's classroom raised $400
This project is fully funded
I teach World Literature at a West-Side Chicago high school. My students are preparing for college and for the ACT, but have little experience reading non-fiction. As adults, we encounter non-fiction every day of our lives. Unfortunately, high school students do not get enough exposure to this genre.
I am asking for a library of non-fiction titles to support my students' non-fiction interests as well as get them ready for the type of reading they will be exposed to in college.
Your donation would give my students another outlet for reading, boost their interest in the non-fiction reading that adults and college students are exposed to on a daily basis, and help continue the reading fever going on in my classroom!
Your support of Donors Choose and classrooms like mine is truly making a difference in the education and lives of children across the country. Thank you for considering my proposal.
