My Project

I teach mostly special education inclusion students in a regular education English classroom. This year I've really leaned into choice reading and have watched kids go from dreading those 8 minutes at the start of class to asking for more! These books will help to offer more selections so each and every student can find a book they love that connects with their personal journey.

They love my very limited selection of graphic novels and even fight over them.

I am excited to have more options so they can keep reading with less bickering! I have also included some fresh "traditional" books to brighten up my aging selection. I pick up books when I can, but my school doesn't fund my library, and I can only add so many titles at one time; they will be shocked with so many fresh titles--especially graphic novels--at once!

We are all so excited to begin reading even more!
