My Project
My classroom is a specialized learning environment designed for students with Autism and other disabilities. Each student brings their own unique strengths, communication styles, and sensory needs. In our room, learning doesn't always look traditional, it's always meaningful.
To help my students succeed, we rely on a variety of supports that promote focus, reduce anxiety, and encourage engagement.
These include sensory tools, visual schedules, calming materials, and hands-on learning resources that allow students to access the curriculum in ways that make sense for them. These tools don't just help with academics- they help my students build confidence and important life skills.
Because many of these resources are highly specialized, they often come at a higher cost and aren't fully covered by school budgets. That's why I'm seeking your support through DonorsChoose to create a classroom where all students feel supported, valued, and capable of success.
