it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Adaptive Art supplies for 3-5 grade students with special needs are more than just tools- they're bridges to creativity, confidence, and inclusion. Many traditional art materials are designed with only one type of user in mind which can unintentionally limit participation for students with fine motor skill challenges, sensory sensitivities, or other unique needs. Adaptive Supplies such as easels, easy grip brushes, large handle scissors, tactile friendly materials and non toxic, low mess mediums remove these barriers. When students have the right tools in their hands, they can focus on expressing ideas rather than struggling with the mechanics of using materials, unlocking their true creative potential.
The benefits extend beyond the art room.
Art builds essential life skills like problem solving, perserverance, and communication. Skills that are especially important for children with developmental differences.
Most importantly, adaptive art supplies sends a powerful message: every students voice matters. When a classroom is equipped with inclusive tools, it shows that the school values equity and creativity for all. By investing in these materials, we are not just providing supplies- we are building a more inclusive, supportive, and inspiring learning community for every child.
