Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The preschoolers in our school are all from low-income families; we are non-profit. I am trying to fill my classroom wish list on how to help my students be successful in the classroom. The majority of my students also have special needs that make it harder for them to sit still or focus on projects without be able to rock/fidget or move. The adaptive seating options will allow students to pick where they want to sit based on their sensory needs.
I want my students to be successful in the classroom and develop early a love for learning, while satisfying their sensory accommodations.
Our students are special and deserving for this. They are all from low-income families, many are homeless, majority have some developmental delay, and they have all experienced some form of trauma in their short lives. I am fighting to give my students a chance to have a strong foundation to build a successful educational experience.
