Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the honor of working with some very sweet exceptional education students. I work with students who range from severe autism to students with learning disabilities. Our school is in a low income area, but you would never know that by talking to them. They want to learn and thrive with their education. While exceptional education is a priority, it is one of the most expensive interventions in public schools. We need all the help we can get with supplying our students with the tools they need.

These kids have the biggest hearts and the biggest desire to learn about other students their age.

Helping to provide them with a safe place to learn is my number one goal. Providing them with the tools they need to learn is my number two. If you feel compelled to help, please know your gift will go a long way.

My Project

These resources will be used to make adaptive books for students with disabilities. The books go over stories in math, science, social studies, and ELA. Each book has a level one and level two.

It is important that students with severe to profound needs have access so the same or similar materials.

Each book will be created by laminating the pages and using velcro to on each page to hold the answer pieces. I am also asking for two book shelves so the students can physically access these books at any time.
