Help me give my students an adaptive curriculum they can use over and over!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Greene's classroom raised $499

My Students
The students in my classroom are students with learning disabilities who are working on the adaptive curriculum. The academic levels in my classroom vary greatly. Some students are working on identifying letters and letter sounds, while some students are working on sight words, reading basic text, and answering comprehension questions. Some students are working on identifying numbers and shapes, while others are working on addition, subtraction, and telling time. Some students in my room are nonverbal while others are able to communicate through the use of pictures, sign language, and spoken language.
Many of my students I have had for multiple years.
This makes learning so much fun because I can see how far they have come. It also means that I need more materials so they are not seeing the same activity over and over.
My Project
My students learn best through repetition. Many concepts need to be taught over and over so they are able to understand and move to the next step. Because of this, I spend a lot of time making new activities to help them learn. Many matching activities along with modified stories are made and used over and over.
Learning the letters of their name takes time and it also takes a variety of activities.
Learning numbers and shapes takes time, but it too takes a variety of activities. Ink and velcro, along with laminating paper, have become a vital part of my classroom.
