This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom comprises of eight different schools serving students in Adapted Physical Education (PE) who have different levels of physical and cognitive disabilities. We run our class like any other PE class with warm ups, laps, and work on a skill, sport or game. How we do this looks a little different!
I serve over 80 students from first grade to twelfth grade.
The students have different cognitive and physical impairments. I service classes from 1:1 and have classes of up to 15 students at a time. They all have their own personalities and way of accomplishing the tasks given to them.
My Project
Hello, I’m providing an Adapted PE toolkit of equipment to send home to each and everyone of my students on my caseload. I serve Students mostly in moderate to severe SDC classrooms from first grade to 12th grade.
Distance Learning classes will be modeling exercise, movement and ball skills.
It’s important for students to have their own equipment at home to use. Supplies such as exercise bands, soft throw balls, Twirlers and visual cue cards for movements are needed to work on their goals and gain practice opportunities and improvement.
More than half of students from low‑income households
