Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in an elementary school for students with special needs in the South Bronx. Our school is very underfunded and many of our students come from low income backgrounds.

Everyone learns in a different manner.

My students are no exception and require different modes of learning from tactile to visual. Many of my students also need help to regulate themselves so that they can focus and learn the best they can. The materials in this project would help my students learn, and give them opportunities to engage with others. It would also give their classrooms much needed basic necessities that will keep their learning environment clean. The materials could help change a lot for my students who deserve the best chance they can get to learn and grow.
