My Project
My early childhood special education class is made up of amazing students who also happen to have autism. All of my students are non-verbal and use picture symbols or devices to communicate. Because of these communication needs, they have difficulty accessing books in the traditional way. I need to make books interactive to increase their engagement.
After receiving these books, I will then adapt the pages so that students can engage in the books through picture symbols.
My goal is for my students to learn to love books and increase their communication skills!
