Hi, I absolutely love teaching first grade at my Title One School. There is so much growth within the year. The variety of students' learning styles and personalities are a great joy of mine. One of my favorite things about my students is that they all learn differently and are all at different levels. My class is filled with different learning levels/styles, English language learners, special education students and students who are in foster care. They are so special and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
My Project
Having metal stools, wobble chairs, and floor seating my students will be able to have their own space. They will be able to spread out and have room to work comfortably. Having adaptable seating also helps with engagement. By having higher engagement, students will become more successful, confident and successful.
Chart paper pads for my students would be a great learning tool.
They will be able to work together in groups and share their thinking with the entire class.
Having some extra headphones for students who need more time on the computers/iPads would be super beneficial and helpful. More students would be able to access the technology we have in our classroom.
