Activities to Support Learning from Anywhere

Help me give my students activities to develop their vocabulary, math and fine motor skills such as bug books, bugs, letter activities, scissor skill activities, art supplies/activities and storage bins to store items.

My Students

I am currently a fully self-contained, preschool special education teacher in a Title I elementary school in Hawaii. More than half of my students are from low income families. I have preschool students with various disabilities and delays including autism, fine motor, gross motor, speech/communication, behavior management, social emotional needs, developmental delays and medically fragile.

My students are full of energy, loving, caring, spirited and eager to learn group.

My Project

We're are back to school again for in-person learning. My class has always been in session for in person learning with a few learning virtually since the pandemic so supplies are low or all gone. It would be great to send home materials that support in class learning for language arts, math and fine motor skills. This will give our students the opportunity to practice skills learned in school from anywhere such as home or waiting for a sibling to finish soccer practice. This will also allow parents to see what their child is able to do academically and do with their fine motor skills.

My students will enjoy doing hands on activities such as learning their letters through a letter bead stringing activity or learning math while doing a number puzzle that makes a dinosaur or doing an art activity that works on their fine motor skills in a fun way.

My students are a great group and are so eager to learn through fun and creative ways.
