Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The purpose of this project is to request social emotional activities and tools for my students. This year, we opened our Wellness Center, Serenity Space, to droves of students in need of emotional support and enrichment. Now looking forward, we see how successful the students were when they participated in these SEL activities.
These tools help kids engage in difficult conversations, release tension, self-regulate, provide language to challenging emotions and maintain positive and healthy relationships.
Access to some SEL activities and skills have improved the morale of our school and have given our students the ability to better express their emotions. We wish to continue to provide our current and in coming students with access to these beneficial activities and tools. Thank you.
