Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine you live your whole life knowing a certain way then all of a sudden you move to a new country where everything is different. Now you have to go to school, sit all day and listen to people speak in a language you do not understand, and learn a new culture with all new customs. Your whole world has changed in the blink of an eye. That is how the majority of student at my school feel.

My students come from all around the world and are so excited to be here!

All are English Language Learners. Some of my students are coming to school for the first time when they enter the building. My students come to America with very limited financial resources. They rely on school for breakfast and lunch to be provided, for uniforms and for supplies and many other things.

It is my job not just to educate them, to be their advocate, to speak for them when they are afraid, to make sure they are treated fairly and to provide for them as much as possible.

My Project

These materials will help make a difference because of the ability to access activities on all levels. Teachers Pay Teachers will provide us with materials that are easily downloaded in the home. Virtual teaching has us all stressed and feeling a little burned out.

Having the opportunity to provide our scholars with materials that fabulous teachers have already created will be a huge boost and relieve some of the burden we are feeling.

These gifted teachers have taken the time to create material that all scholars of all different academic levels will be able to utilize and enjoy/
