Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class consists of caring, enthusiastic, and awesome students. All of them work hard while learning, always keeping our class environment inviting, comfortable, and secure. More than 90% of our students live within or below poverty, but they always come in with a smile. Every student has a story to tell about their life and family. Many students in our class live with relatives and their parents in another country. Regardless of the living situation, my students know they are all special to me.

My goal is to get students to know that they can make a difference in their own lives.

They need to make positive choices and always work hard. I want all my students to succeed academically and economically today and far into the future. Our class learns from day one that we all need to get along to make life easier for all of us. It teaches them how to work as a team, prepares them for middle and high school and the future which requires all to work together. Most importantly it teaches them to become good, respectful, and responsible citizens. They need to know: "I can learn, know, and be anything".

My Project

This Chromebook will allow students and their groups to collaborate and conduct research at school. This will avoid time being wasted on waiting for a computer/Chromebook. All students will be actively learning, then turn over their group's final projects to the class. This project will help reduce wasted time spent waiting on technology. Students instead will produce more and be given more opportunities for learning new information including new apps and programs. This toner will also allow students to print their final projects or slides to use while presenting or for others to see. All together this project will give students the college readiness skills and knowledge needed to succeed today, tomorrow, and in the future.
