My Students

I'm a teacher at a Title I school, and my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Our school has many challenges not only with the low demographics of our neighborhood but also with funding.

I want my classroom to be an exciting place of learning and exploring!

My Project

Currently, my students have limited tactile ways to learn during Daily 5. I want to make sure my students are actively engaged in their learning which is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given an activity that is fun.

My students are noticeably more engaged in their work when motion is incorporated into their learning activities.

The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional ways to learn. Some of these items are much needed accessories to be used with my light and sensory tables. All of these activities will also help with their fine motor skill development.

I have seen how important it is to have stations filled with tactile items in order to have active engagement. My students are highly motivated when they are doing an activity that they love!
