My Project

Peter Liljedahl explains in his book, "Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics", when students stand & use vertical non-permanent surfaces to solve problems, their engagement and learning significantly increase over traditional paper/pencil. Portable whiteboards will provide adequate non-permanent vertical learning space for small groups of 2-3 students. Personal whiteboards also increase student engagement levels, allowing me to provide feedback on their work in a very timely manner and to ensure all 36 students are participating.

The iPad & iPencil will allow me to move freely about the room providing interactive instruction.

With an iPad & iPencil students can use whiteboard apps, as well as others, to demonstrate skills via the projector, supporting the learning of all students.

The docucam would allow me to record and post lessons for students to review or to learn from if absent.
