This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic, fun and caring children!!
They come from a community where they hardly get physical activity at home.
School is the place that can provide them with the experience of how active play leads to healthy living. They need to release their energy so that they will be able to focus in class.
They love to play and be children, they want to grow up and be healthy. They love to spend fun times with their friends being children.
My Project
Oddly enough, our elementary school was built without a play yard, therefore, our students have restricted space throughout the school building to burn up the calories they eat during lunch.This equipment will allow us to take them to the park across the street and play some basketball. Being active will improve their academic focus and their overall healthy lifestyle. This project will change the mindset and lives of many of our students that are physical challenges due to obesity. By doing cardio in a fun way will support our student's path to living a healthy long life. This project is a life changer!
