This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My urban students currently have health class in the gymnasium on the floor. They are very diverse, speaking at least 6 different languages. 50-60% of my students receive free or reduced lunch.

My students love hands-on active learning.

They are curious and often have many questions both on and off topic. Their love for learning is an inspiration to me. They are bright children who learn in many different ways. I love to see them work together and help one another through a lesson.

My Project

The equipment purchased will be put to use right away! We will be able to help our students learn the various sports we teach and help make corrections in their form using the many different web sites available to us. Health class will be more interesting as we can show videos and make our classes more interactive by using the web.

The projector and computer will be used for every class and every student in the school.

Having access to power point and word documents that is easily read by every student will make note taking in health class so much easier.
