My Students

Many of my students are English Language learners and work hard to develop their reading and writing skills. They also love science, art, and listening to read-alouds. Our class of 26 is diverse with many varied learning needs and I have been impressed with the students' eagerness to support and encourage one another. We have enjoyed developing growth mindsets while persevering in our school work and I can't wait to see how far they come this year!

My 4th graders are lively, energetic, and eager to learn.

My Project

The stool will allow students to use movement to help them focus during quiet parts of our day. The dice and cards will allow us to create games that make practicing math skills fun! The timers are a helpful tool for students to keep track of their timing for projects. They are also useful for helping students who do well with structure and knowing what to expect. A student can set the timer to keep track of their breaks, work time, and reading fluency. This allows students to be autonomous in their learning.

These materials will help us create active and fun learning experiences to help students retain and apply their learning.
